Why God Permit Sufferings In This World
Suffering is not a Punishment but a NecessityMy greatest question has been answered. I have been praying to God to enlighten me with understanding of my faith. I used to wonder if there's really a purgatory or none... and if there is none, then where does the poor souls wait for the judgment day? I'm sure it was mentioned on the revelation about the 1st hell where every souls from there will be judge from the book of life... and those names that were not written will be throw in the 2nd hell where all the souls from the 2nd hell will be burn in the fire and this will be their 2nd death. The name Satan, Hades, and Death were mentioned and I believe that Hades and Death are one but Satan is someone else cause I have also read a passage that God put him in a cage a very long time ago but there's a prophecy that one day he will escape and rule over this world. But it will not last long because God will also throw him in the 2nd hell with Hades who is the ruler of the 1st hell. Upon reading the revelation passages from the bible, I was so emotionally impacted with the vivid imagery of the writing. The end of the world was made known to us but still few are those who choose to walks blameless for the judgment day. Blessed are the living souls as they will live forever in the new world with God as their ruler. This was actually made known to us that our very souls are designed to live forever with Him if only these souls has been purified. It has to be purified because God said that he will only listen and walks with the righteous and the blameless...so it has to be.
My understanding of these were greatly influenced by the words of Maria Sima. She was one person whom God permits to contact with souls from the purgaroty. And that article I've read about her story has greatly shape my faith and enlightened my mind.
I believe that at the moment of our death, our whole earthly life flashes right before our very eyes -All the good and the bad things we’ve done in our lives. And Yes, God would give us the chance to decide whether to follow Him or turn away. Those souls who accept Him will undergo purification as it is necessary for the souls to be cleans so it would be pure upon entering the Heaven. And those souls who chooses to turn away will have their 2nd death in the 2nd hell.
As for the souls who accepted God, They suffer so much pain... greater pain than anyone could imagine from this world in order to become pure. And that is why Prayers and Masses for the souls are very important as it eases their sufferings and shortens their time in purgatory. Souls are helpless without our prayers for them as they can no longer merit.
As for the living, to sacrifice in this life and to suffer for greater good is an act of chastity not only for ones life but for others as well. So it could only mean that getting so comfortable with our earthly lives is unhealthy for our souls. One who humbly accept the sufferings from this world spent lesser time in the purgatory and those who are already pure go straight to heaven. We can also merit by fasting, by penance, or from illness and by turning away from things that caused us to sin. Remember Jesus suffered from the sins that he didn’t committed. Death took him, but after 3 days he has risen from the dead. From this, Jesus showed us that suffering is part of our life. And if we are pure, we will rise up to heaven and meet Jesus. So now I am also enlightened that illness is not something to be afraid of. When our body suffers from sickness, we are more intimate to God. We talk to Him, say our prayers, asked forgiveness. Perhaps this is why God designed diseases... to be closer to Him and to remind us that suffering is necessary because hell is real and heaven is real.
I heard this from a friend a long time ago asking God why his mother has to suffer from a cancer for 2 years before He took her life, and why not just take her mother’s life away when she was just starting to get ill, so she wouldn't had suffered from pain. It breaks his heart to see her mother fight to only suffer for more pain and he wants to know why God permitted that. But I now know why. By suffering on earth, we help our soul to suffer less time in purgatory. If there’s one thing we could do for our lost loved ones is not by shedding tears of sorrow but by holding a Mass for them and by prayers. Maria Sima highlight the Queen Mother sympathy for the poor souls in purgatory. A soul told Maria Sima that the Queen Mother visits them and pray for them. My heart skipped upon knowing this as I have always doubt the purpose of praying the rosary. I feel guilty for treating it as an option. But now I'm enlightened of its purpose and its power. Our Mother Mary knows best what to do for the suffering souls. In fact she never stop being our Mother.
