Farewell Manang Tulay

A very sad news for my family today. our dear nang Tulay (Tessa) who served us for almost 23 years passed away. My heart is breaking. She's only 39 years old. =(

 She was a loyal servant especially to my mom. I don't really want to remember her death. Rather, I'd like to talk about how she lived. She's always laughed and she likes to talk about people's life and their business. She likes to investigate on peoples personal life especially the controversial one and she would tell my mom everything she knows. She's like the woman who knows it all may it be showbiz or just our neighbor. Funny as it sounds but that's her. Don't get me wrong. That's one thing about her that makes me smile cause I think it's a silly attitude to mind other people's personal.

 I would surely miss her cooking as my mom trained her well to cooked. Plus she knows everything we want. She was there since I was in grade 2 until college. She even represented some of my school PTA meetings. I also remember her walking me to school and fetching me with an umbrella. We did have a barbeque stand business when I was in college. I don't remember her returning my capital but hey it was a great memory we had back there selling chicken intestines and chicken blood on sticks.

Painful Break Up vs. Happy Break Up

I thought about this for some time. Why I felt no pain on my break up with my previous partner? there were no struggle, no regrets, just nothingness. In fact it was a happy break up. Months ago, I listened to my friend's story about her painful breakup with her boyfriend of 9 years. I knew the couple since from the start of their relationship. I wasn't expecting them to break up after all they've been through. I was expecting that they would get engage and get married. Infact, I was just waiting for their announcement because the last time we talked, she made a joke about them getting married soon. But that is not the story. This is about her pain and the processed she'd gone through compared to mine from my previous break-up. It was totally the opposite! As her friend, I can say I feel for her, I can relate somehow but only because I'm a woman too with emotions and had other other relationships before.
