CRS Helping Our Neighborhood
The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has been our number 1 helper in our city ever since a flash flood from typhoon Sendong struck us in Cagayan de Oro. The CRS has provided us clean water, food, care, cleaners and many more for free. Until now CRS workers are busy clearing up and cleaning all that is left by the flood in our streets. They rented a garbage truck and provide payment for the workers with free foods. I myself has been around with these workers who were also victims of the recent tragedy. It's nice to think that the CRS has also provided them a job with minimum salary. In this way they got to earn also while helping our community. I'm just worried because not all of them is using rubber gloves in picking up garbages and mask to protect them from foul odors and dust. They also lack of shovel and wheelbarrow to use in lifting mud and garbages.
